SUNDAY 3RD JANUARY 2016
FOCUS SCRIPTURE: 1 Corinthians 3:9

“For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building (KJV)
At some point in our lives, we may have worked with others. It may have been with colleagues at the office, or in a group project at school to achieve a common purpose. Everybody played a part in order to achieve that purpose.
The focal scripture for today tells us that we are labourers together with God, meaning that we are working together with God. As such, both God and us have a part to play in the way our lives turnout.
Someone once said, “Any faith that makes God absolutely responsible for all issues in your life is an irresponsible faith”. This means there is something for God to do and for you to also do in order for some things to come to pass in your life.
Apostle Paul speaking to Timothy in 1 Timothy 1:18 said, “This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightiest war a good warfare” (KJV)
I believe prophecies have gone forth over our lives, families, churches etc in this New Year from God through His servants. God is saying to us today that we all have a prayer responsibility in ensuring these prophecies come to pass.
In 1 Kings 18:41-46, Prophet Elijah after announcing to King Ahab that there is a sound of abundance of rain went up to Mount Carmel, where he prayed until there was a physical manifestation. This further buttresses the point that we have a responsibility to pray for the fulfilment of Gods plans for our lives.
I pray that God will give you the grace needed to work together with Him through your prayer commitment in the name of Jesus.

Pray With Me
Lord, grant me the spirit of prayer and supplication in order to work together with you for the fulfilment of all the prophecies over my life this year in Jesus name
